About the role

As a Software Engineer at Anthrasec you'll design, build and run web applications, APIs and integrations for organisations that depend on them every day. You'll work closely with our cybersecurity and cloud specialists, so what you build is secure and well-architected from the start.

We're a small, senior-minded team. You'll have real ownership: from shaping requirements with clients to shipping, monitoring and improving what's in production.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and maintain web applications, APIs and system integrations
  • Write clean, well-tested code and review your teammates' work
  • Work with clients to understand their goals and turn them into practical solutions
  • Build with security and reliability in mind, alongside our security and cloud teams
  • Help run what you ship: monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to our engineering practices, tooling and documentation

What you'll bring

  • Professional experience building production software
  • Strong skills in at least one modern language, such as TypeScript, Python, C# or Go
  • Experience with web frameworks and designing or consuming APIs
  • Good understanding of testing, version control and CI/CD
  • Clear written and spoken communication, and comfort working remotely
  • The right to work in the UK

Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices (for example the OWASP Top 10)
  • Experience with React or Next.js, and Node.js
  • Exposure to AI or automation projects

What we offer

  • Fully remote

Work from anywhere in the UK, with no commute.

  • Flexible working

Hours that fit around your life.

  • Generous holiday

Plenty of time off to rest, plus UK bank holidays.
